What to Bring
MUSIC RELATED:
- iPad (and charger) with the 2008 Django Fakebook downloaded or the physical Fakebook (please label with your name and cell number)
- Music stand (please label with your name and cell number)
- Instrument stand (especially for bass) (please label with your name and cell number)
- Folding chair (there are chairs at 3 Otters, but you’ll probably want one to sit on while jamming in the “neighborhoods”) (please label with your name and cell number)
- Mat to put under chair (otherwise you might sink into the dirt when jamming) (please label with your name and cell number)
- Personal battery operated fan (for that Hot Jazz)
RECREATION RELATED:
- Water or closed/toe shoes
- Bathing suit
- Sun hat/visor
- Sunscreen
- Insect repellant
- Life Jacket – optional, but nice if you have an extra
- Flashlight and/or headlamp
- Binoculars
- Small net for catching small fish, tadpoles, crayfish, etc.
- Games you like to play
TOILETRIES:
- Personal toiletries
- Towel for shower and river
- Blow dryer
- Medications
- Toilet paper (it’s provided, but like ice, better to have extra just in case)
- First aid kit (Swingology and 3 Otters have kits, but bring back-up items)
- Cell phone (not that you’ll have service, but you might want to take some pix)
For Glampers staying in a Yurt, the Cabin or one of the other structures, Three Otters provides linens.
FOOD/BEVERAGE:
- A favorite beverage and appetizer to share for Thursday’s happy hour/mixer.
- Refillable water bottle
- Lunch for Friday and Saturday (please clearly label your food and drink if you are going to store it in one of the refrigerators)
- Snacks
- Cooler (please label with your name and cell number)
- Ice (you can never have too much)
- Beverages of choice for the weekend (All beverages must be in a can. Glass is prohibited except for wine bottles which must be packed out with you upon departure.) We will provide coffee and hot tea for breakfast.
Please be aware that Three Otters is secluded. Make sure you have all the supplies you need before you arrive. Doris’ Deli in Great Cacapon is 35 minutes away. There is a gas station /convenience store and a Dollar General in Paw Paw which is 30 minutes away. The nearest Grocery store is in Berkeley Springs.
